Angels of Peace – Shalom Alacheim

The lyrics of this song are from a traditional Hebrew song that calls in Shabbat often as the family is around the table for food. It is believed to come from the 17th century and is inspired by a Rabbi Yehuda that told the story of how we are accompanied on our life journey by two angels, one good the other evil.

The calling of the right one seems to depend on whether the food is prepared and the candles are lit in preparation for the passing. In essence, Order vs Chaos and the value we put in the family and how it can determine the balance of our lives.
